Meet the Staff

About the Office
We feel that we can help more people through health education than we ever could touch by hand. To that end, we aim to reach out to the world through our non-profit work as a local representative of the Foundation for Wellness Professionals. We offer free lectures which cover a variety of topics ranging from allergies and asthma to weight loss and a woman's hormones.

We work with patients with a wide variety of health concerns. We seek to balance the body's function. The body can heal itself best when it is functioning normally. Dr. Moss uses functional testing to evaluate your nervous system and its functional status as it relates to the rest of your body.

We offer both relief and corrective care plans in our office. For our patients on a spinal correction plan, we will graph your progress to show you exactly how you are responding. Our ultimate goal is spinal stability, a properly functioning body, and achieving optimal health.

Doctor of Chiropractic - Paul Moss
Dr. Moss is a native of Ankeny, Iowa. He is a member of the non-profit Foundation for Wellness Professionals and has been interviewed on both television and radio. Dr. Moss, like many of us, was not healthy as a child. While he was very active and participated in many sports, he suffered from sinusitis and severe headaches. His condition was severe enough to put him in the Children's Hospital of Omaha. While running high school track Dr. Moss was injured. He was taken to see Dr. Sherry Durrett in Houston, Texas. While he expected his injury to improve under Chiropractic care, what amazed him was that his sinusitis and headaches were gone. This is what initially got him interested in Chiropractic.

Later, through years of working for Dr. Durrett, he witnessed literally hundreds of cases of people with a myriad of health conditions respond to Chiropractic care and Applied Kinesiology. Eventually, he no longer was content in being just part of the team. He wanted to be the Chiropractor.

After College, he went to Palmer College of Chiropractic where he was the Applied Kinesiology club president for 3 years. Dr. Moss studied Applied Kinesiology and was certified in August 2001. Once certified, he was a workshop assistant in Dr. Hogg's Applied Kinesiology class until 2003. He is currently a workshop assistant in Dr. Bob Rakowski's course in 2017.

Dr. Moss graduated from Palmer in February 2004 and immediately set out begin a practice in his hometown of Ankeny. Nothing could be more fulfilling to him than to be able to make a difference in the health of his community. In addition to making a difference in the health of our community and beyond, he regularly volunteers at our home church Ankeny First United Methodist. Those volunteer activities include singing, helping to lead worship, offering words of witness, leading Bible study, sound tech, nursery care, and Christian-based health education.
Education and Experience

Office Manager - Angi Moss
Angi Moss, a certified Chiropractic Assistant, is our amazing office manager. Angi is a breastfeeding educator, a birth Doula and a proud mother of 5. She uses her outstanding knowledge of Chiropractic to train the office staff. In her spare time she likes to bake, cross-stitch, scrapbook, knit, and work with the church youth group. Angi's experience with Chiropractic began when she was in high school. She had knee surgery when she was 12 and was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. She was told that she would likely end up in a wheelchair by the time she was in her 20's. She didn't accept that prognosis and through Dr. Moss's care, she is now able to jog for up to a mile and a half pain free and has even completed multiple 5Ks.

Reception - Ally
Ally is our new kid on the block.  Prior to working here, she had very little experience with Chiropractic care.  From her first adjustment, she was amazed to learn she restored an half-inch in height.  She has enjoyed getting to know our patients and hearing all the extraordinary success stories.  She is currently being trained by Angi, who was trained in Chiropractic Case Management by Christina Alexander, the top Chiropractic Assistant in the country.  She is currently reading "Your Inner Pharmacy", and marveling at how Applied Kinesiology is used to help so may patients with such diverse health challenges.  She wants to inform as many people as possible about the benefits of chiropractic care and how it could change their lives.  She loves working with such a dedicated doctor and staff with the same mission. In her free time she enjoys communing with nature and creating artwork with drawing and paints. She is growing in her faith every day and getting closer to Christ.
